My name is Katie Seidewand and I am the proud owner of She's Tea and Bees.
As your brief introduction rundown:
I am a millennial human.
I was born & raised in ROC City.
My pronouns are She/They & I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Art has always been my primary passion.
I am addicted to coffee & tea.
I create playful, minimalist artwork inspired by moments in my life. I specialize in enamel pins (tiny wearable artworks to help you go about your day). I am a huge advocate for being yourself and being proud of it... whatever your shape, size, color, style, gender, or sexuality may be!
Over the years, I have dabbled in many forms of art. Pre-pandemic, I identified as an acrylic and mixed media artist who focused on abstract color and texture. During the pandemic, when the world shut down, I started doing art therapy to cope. She's Tea and Bees was born.
Picasso once said "every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." As a busy single mom, who also works a full-time "adult job", this had been my struggle. She's Tea and Bees has inspired a way for me to incorporate regular art into my busy schedule, as well as create a channel to advocate for the things that I believe in.
The majority of the work I do is with enamel pins, buttons, stickers, and other merch. However, I do mix in smaller scale original works and the occasional large scale work. I do accept commissions for these original pieces.
